Change fep-category to show only specific categories

So you will need to change the submission-form.php

1. Open it by going to Plugins > Editor
2. From the top right dropdown list select Frontend Publishing and click on the select button
3. In the plugin files section on the right locate front-end-publishing/views/submission-form.php and click on it
4. Next we will find the following line

< ?php wp_dropdown_categories(array('id'=>'fep-category',
'hide_empty' => 1, 'name' => 'post_category', 'orderby' =>
'name', 'selected' => $post['category'], 'hierarchical' => true,
'show_option_none' => __('Choose Below'))); ?>

Replace it with:

< ?php wp_dropdown_categories( array( 'include' => '7, 3, 4, 5',
'name' => 'category_id[]',
'hide_empty' => false,
'echo' => true,
) );

?>

Please note that the line ‘include’ => ‘7, 3, 4, 5’ refers to all the category id’s that you would like to include.

How to find your category ID:
1. Go to Posts > Categories
2. Now take your mouse pointer over a category and the url at the bottom of the browser will be something like this:
/term.php?taxonomy=category&tag_ID=7&post_type=post&wp_http_referer=%2Fviral%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit-tags.php%3Ftaxonomy%3Dcategory

The tag_ID attribute is your category ID. You can also click on the category and the above link will open in your browser and you can copy it from there.
